Share your chicken saddle experience

I ordered mine from Etsy, but my hen had to wear one for some time between the rooster and hens pulling out her feathers. The seller used cotton on top and denim on the underside. When it was rainy and wet, I just changed the saddle to a dry one at the end of the day and she healed up fine. 20210703_150928.jpg

Very snazzy! I will have to use one with my silkies, the rooster just tears out feathers with those ladies. I guess in the spring the rooster will have to go. He is really too big for the silkies.

Like this idea do you have a pic of it off the hen? My poor silkie is thread bare from Pangoo Rooster-Brat...
Here is a few pics. The length is roughly from the base of neck to start of tail. Try to pick a section of your pants thats a little smaller the the width of your girl, otherwise it will be too loose, you want it to fit snug, not tight around the chest. Then i held it up to the girl and estimated where the wing holes should be. This worked for me. But watch now that its cold that it doesnt get super wet. I used it in summer and it dried quickly, but i dont know about winter.
