So I just moved my eggs from standing to laying with their x's and o's. And I candled them just to see and it looks like for day 5 I have about 6 or 7 growing out of 13. Not happy.

That's a bummer. Maybe they will look better around day 10. That's one reason I don't candle much, I'd rather be optimistic. I will probably candle the BCM at lockdown, but don't tell Amy...

I like bees and wasps and anything that spreads pollen but I hate rats an mice . when I was a kid we lived in Nashville for a few years till my parents could find land . we lived close to rail spur that went to a Purina feed mill the rats were really bad . one got in our bed room and bit my little brother on the ear while he was asleep we moved soon after that .Animal feed draws rats I hate rats . I sit late in the evening wait for them to come out and shot them with my pistol .got one yesterday and shot one out of a three today .I know where they hide and chase them out this one climbed a tree.no more rat

I like this* dream fund* system I can relate and no Im not *getting in* on the contest as im not ready to lay yet

but I wish all the contestants good luck.I think this will be a fun and informative thread.

You should put a tip jar on your mantle or coffee table labeled, "Brinsea dream fund, donations smiled upon." We had some friends who did that for their vacation fund and, after a year, they went to Hawaii for 2 weeks.

Surprisingly I'm not as afraid of snakes as I am of mice. A mouse got into my tree stand while I was hunting last fall. I couldn't stay in there with it. Hubby just laughed and said it wouldn't hurt me. I couldn't hunt that stand the rest of the season! It will be mice proof before I get back in it.

This isn't going to have quite as much impact after Amy posted her son's giant mutant Remi, but the rats in Sweden are mutating and becoming immune to the poison over there.


I also have time lapsed vid of a mama bird being devoured from the inside out by rats, but I'll spare you.

I got hit by 4 wasps getting into my truck the Tuesday after the 4th. They had been making a nest right over my driver's side door, and I didn't see it. I bumped it with my hat getting in, and two fell down the back of my shirt, one fell on my shoulder, and the other landed on my arm. I think one said "Go!" and they all stung me at the same time. My wife said she was looking out the window when I came tearing back across the yard, flinging my hat and ripping off my shirt. It took me 15 minutes to find my keys

Prolly deserved it.

Great. Now Ima watch Golden girls tonight.
