Show me your coop exterior landscaping over HWC

Do you have water running along the ground into the run....
.....or?
My run has no roof at all, and it's fine. I did have to redirect some runoff tho.
Not sure that tin will hold up for long.

So, there is a garden shed next to the coop, the roof runs off in between the two building and the soil just inside the runs edge on that side gets damp with rain. No running water or pooling water visible at all. Just damp sand. It rained all day today and I’m only seeing it on that side, so I assume it’s from the roof next to it. My run is completely dry elsewhere. There is a full roof, plywood, ice and water on the entire surface, and metal roofing panels… nothing is coming in the run that way. I’ll post a pic of the layout.

I wouldn't worry about a bit of damp in the run.
Do you plan on using bedding in the run?

I was going to keep it mostly dirt but in the winter maybe add some bedding. I was hoping to give them some of our leaves in the fall for sure…

This is my landscaping so far. I have to get more pine mulch and more top soil. The girls went out into their run today all day and LOVED it. They had all kinds of chicken fun while I gardened all day.
