I like how they pop then stretch completely out, like they're really glad to be out of the egg. Huge heads, eyes and feet. They are quite cute.

Wow! How much bigger are they than chicken chicks? Do they have different incubating requirements?

Our chickes grew out long pretty tail feathers and promptly started shedding them. Normal adolescent thing? Kind of frustrating. A hint of elegance/full-feathered-ness, then some steps backwards.

Definitely bigger, but I've been hatching some larger chicks here lately, so not as shockingly large as they would be against my quail sized OEGB. Don't worry. They'll get really pretty when their adult feathers come in.

4, with 4 eggs pipped and 1 not pipped but rocking like crazy. The other one doesn't look like its gonna hatch.

I have bantams but I don't know if they're the right kind for this thread. Theyre al black, if that helps. Now the rooster has some red on him.

Woke up to this. 8 so far with one potential, although one is very weak and not likely to survive.
