Showgirl thread- for posting pictures and discussing breed!

If she has 1 silked gene then things get interesting.

You'll get
Smooth sizzles
Silkies
Sizzles
And
Frilkies ( silked sizzles)
With and without 1 nn gene so bowties and full necks.

Assuming your roo is a bowtie. If he is not all the offspring will be bowties.

That will be a fun pen!

Thank you for that! I have no idea about genetics, I am so interested in learning though. Keeping this for future reference.

The little black frizz is so cute, she is from an Araucana black mom, blue egger, and a partridge Sizzle roo....the SG is a bowtied non bearded paint roo. Very pretty. Excited to get lots of cute babies from him. Sounds like my Frizz will make a fun addition while we are waiting for my SG and Silkie babies to grow out, I have a fun assortment to put with him just need to see which ones are female (they take so long for me to figure out!)

The Frizz:
1000

1000

1000

Yes walnut comb. Straight comb is not easy to breed out and will pop up again several generations later. Not an issue for pets but bad for anything else.

Some pictures of chicks I hatched.

Love this little splash chick. My first splash chick to hatch here and love the look it has going on.

Both showgirl chicks together. I believe the blue is a boy and the splash is a girl, only time will tell. I no longer own these babies but wanted to share them anyways.
