I recently added a young NH red rooster to my flock. He is about 2 months old while my ladies are about 5 months old. He is super shy and the ladies pick on him a bit. At what age do roosters typically start acting roo-ish? He is so sweet and I'm sure he will find his confidence as he gets older. But I'm hoping that is sooner than later. The poor little guy is so nervous around the ladies!
(Pic of him and our also newly acquired little 1 yr old blue cochin rooster who has no issues with the ladies, even though he is half their size)

Omg, this is SOO cute! (both roo's) As he gets older he'll gain more and more confidence! Just be patient, and he'll come around! I also had a roo that was like this (Wellie), that was in the shadow of another roo... but that other roo got aggressive and so we made him into noodle soup. From there Wellie got more confident and soon was a full time roo! lol! Just give him time!:love
Love the pic!:love
Good Luck!:thumbsup
