I have 5 silkies who are 5 months old. My blue is most def a male. He is much bigger than the others, has noticeable comb nose whatnot and more importantly is crowing.

My buff one has a teeny tiny nub on the beak, nothing like the blue has. Could it possibly still be a hen? None of the others has anything on the beak and since they're all the same age wouldn't they be the same development etc if buff is a roo?

Have to rehome my blue this weekend

and same fate for buff if....

Sorry - can't get a good enough pic of the tiny comb.

I am sooo hoping! I started out with 8 birds and am down to 4. Chicken math is not working out for me so far. The wattles and comb on the CONFIRMED roo is large and pronounced. Is it odd that the 3 other birds have nothing as far as a comb? Or is it just the diff silkies types?
