Silkie roo?

Just out of curiosity, why do you think he has Cochin in him?
The red comb and waddles are the indicator. Easier to see on the Satin rooster photo. My avatar is of the partridge Bantam Cohcin and Silkie mix (a.k.a., smooth Satin). His skin is black, ear lobes blue, five toed, and blacked eye. Feathers are smooth with a nonstandard red color and a red comb.

I breed bantam cochin and silkie mixes (a.k.a., Satin). Plenty of APA award winning silkies include cochin genes, but they follow the required standard. It is the issue with cuckoo silkies that their skin is lighter and combs are red. The cuckoo females generally win competitions because they are darker in color. At-least 25% of the chicks from a Satin on Satin pairing will be silkied. It is a great way to add a non-standard color.
