Silly question, but can you please tell me what color Petrie is? I'm much more familiar with large fowl, and haven't dealt with funny colors! Sorry for the bad pictures, my dad picked it up for me, and I havnt gotten to bring it home yet! Grey with rust, so partridge something maybe? Supposed to be 12-14 weeks, hoping for a hen, but was too funny to pass up

Yup- good call. He attempted to crow this morning when I let them out- I didn't know they could crow so young though :-/

I need your opinion on one of my silkies. I have 8 7.5 week partridge chicks. 4 of them have light colour beaks and skin. I thought I had 4 girls and 4 boys and was planning to keep the blue partridge cockerel although he's beak isnt dark. But i now have doubts if he is a he. He doesnt take part in chest bumping games as the other 3. His comb hasnt turned red yet (the other 2 boys started showing pinkish colour 3 weeks ago and the fourth one has black comb and bigger than the blue boy). And he is my lightest chick although he used to be one of the biggest as the baby. The difference is huge!

You really can't tell the gender until minimum 3 months, sometimes even 4, 5 or 6 months!
