silkie sexing

I just got a brand new silkie chick but she/he is too young to sex. But when my rooster was about six weeks, many people on here guessed pullet. Then a few days later he started crowing! You just never know with silkies....

Yes gypsy bear comes from the same litter they all were except mrs/mr doubt fire. What was it about that one that makes you think roo. She/he does not even chest bump or fight the others or have any roo personalities yet. Atm and phoebe and Buffy all fight each other. I have a wellsummer who thinks she is a silkie and always with Buffy. But doubt fire keeps self to self even when fighting she/he just moves to another corner.
Gypsy has always been the smallest of the batch and still has not got much bigger from when first got her

The comb is very big and swollen or puffy. Usually at that age if there is one that has a much more prominent comb than the others it's most likely a cockerel. Well, from what I've seen at least.

It looks like a cockerel to me, but it looks pretty young still so you would have better luck reposting in a few weeks.

Too soon, but I would lean slightly more towards male because of comb.. maybe?! Since it doesn't have much of a crest, this could, however, be normal comb development for both males and females of this breeding.
