SJ- I'd guess that to be a cockerel as well. The already bright red comb and light/more silver than black plumage are making me think so :/ I don't have cuckoo Silkies, but I do have cuckoo Marans, and my girls are super dark black. My cockerel is a more silver color.

Dang. It's so interesting, because this bird shows no signs of a cockerel. It is super passive, at the bottom of the pecking order, and constantly under the protection of my polish cockerel, who doesn't care for anyone else.

Also, sorry to hear about your photo theft incident! I'd probably be sending a not so nice email as well :I. That's a beautiful rooster you have there.

Well it's been a pullet every week until now.

. It's my only silkie... And I won't be able to keep it if it's a roo.

Eh. I still pretend my polish cockerel is a pullet. I don't think he minds.

So my one silkie did a few lame attempts at crowing this morning. Does this pretty much mean she is a he?
