Silver Laced Cornish Bantam Project

This is a 28 week old cockerel that is very dark, very limited lacing, but he is a chunk. When you pick him up you know he is a cornish. Terrible picture, he is quite flighty and has lost his tail in the growout pen, but I like his head and his overall type. I will be breeding him to a smutty columbian and a nicely laced pullet. Hoping for the best, and with any luck, January chicks.

I have about half a dozen pullets that look just like this. Getting closer with every generation. This bird is 7/8 cornish, 1/8 SLW

Looking good, I know it's a battle but its a fun one! I have my third breeding pen set up for 2017, two more pairs to choose
