I need plants that don't mind being suffocated in red mud.... Haven't found any yet!

Sand in the run will help with the mud.

Letting them run free in the yard is an option if you do not have predators during the day. Hawks can still be a worry and raccoons in the early morning and late evening.

I think I need some time with no rain to have sand delivered so I can get it put in coop:/
