Hi all! I have four six week old “Ameraucanas” but I understand since I bought them at the feed and seed, they’re most likely Easter Eggers. Love these little ones. Can anyone help me sex them? Thanks!!

I’m going to be the odd person out and say to keep an eye on the black/white one. It’s looking suspicious, the comb isn’t red but does have some width to it. Easter Eggers can be slow to mature. The others are definitely pullets. Post that one again in a few weeks just to be sure. I hope I’m wrong!
This was my suspicion as well. Plus that one is biggest, and maybe it’s my imagination but seems to be kind of protective of the rest. We’ll see, but man I hope not!

One thing I notice with pullets vs cockerels is if you make a loud noise, toss something overhead, or even clap your hands, the cockerels tend to stand up straight with neck stretched and look alert. The pullets usually sink down or hightail it to safety. It’s not 100% accurate of course but it’s a fun test to do.
