So, what is your job?

I am temporarily laid off from the factory
Aww.

Yeah cutting parts on the machine is just real hard. The workers who can do it brag about how easy it is, but if it were the factory wouldn't go through so many people every month. I didn't get fired though, because then i would of been black listed. I'm on the too employ list again. So they will put me on an automachine, or make me a janitor. An automachine does all the work you just check the part and make sure its the right color...I am going to miss the blow torch though. It was only to save up to start my own resale business anyway. I don't think I could work it for years at a time especially third shift. Because then how would I be able to take care of my chickens.

I like this thread .. it is interesting to know how fellow BYCers spend their day, working, retired, stay at home parent etc. Hopefully it can be revived.

I am an IT Support Officer, primarily for the specialised software my employer utilises but that also extends to pretty much anything that plugs into the wall .. IT will fix it

There have been a few funny help requests over the years but to date, by far my favourite was an e.mail I got that said “I do not know how to send an e.mail”

Sounds like something I would do ha ha.

I am a full-time English teacher here in the North of England. I teach at secondary school-11-16 year olds which can be 'challenging'.

Am also qualified to teach English as a foreign language and so could get work abroad. However, I couldn't leave my 4 cats and 6 hens ha ha. I miss them too much when I go on holiday.

After school I became qualified in childcare. I worked with newborns-school age children...& for the most part, loved it. I then studied Travel & Tourism while helping my mum with her cleaning business. Then while working in an office at a huge car dealership, I studied Business Management. Since then I have gotten my trade as a Painter & Decorator, & my hubby & I have been successfully running our small business for just over a year now.

I also have 3 young kids, who I am trying my very best to raise as good, honest, adults.
