Re: the cartons. That's one of the things I was thinking of doing, selling the eggs separately (no carton) or as a dozen with the carton.

I do like the donation idea also, but would they accept the contribution of "non USDA certified" eggs?

honestly, I really couldn't say. But I would hate to think anyone would turn down the donation of perfectly good eggs when they could be used to feed someone who otherwise will go hungry.

Imm not certain churches would be so sticky about such rules. A good pantry yes, but I would hope a church wouldn't
 
I couldn't remember if I posted on here in the past, but I'm in Georgetown, SC and have speckled sussexes that should be laying soon, and just built a tractor for some red broilers. wondering if anyone locally may have a plucker I could rent?
 
Anyone still here selling chickens? I'm currently looking for Dark Cornish and Isbars. Not having any luck on fb pages. I'm located in Lexington and willing to drive about an hour or so.
