Splash/ Blue Silkie Thread

Here's my blue pullet, Gracey. :>










Here's a picture of Willow, the splash from a couple posts up, with Gracey.


Here's him and Gracey with my partridge, Sunflower, and my white, Albedo.


He's so handsome!


He's wary of people, but he's generally pretty friendly.


He is SO noisy and crows ALL the time.

His comb is getting so huge!


He's got the most prominent blue earlobe out of all my silkies.


I just can't get over how nice he looks.

Hoping someone on this thread can tell me if this silkie is a black or blue...when it hatched I thought blue because it looked just like my other blue silkie chick, but it seems to have gotten a little darker so I'm thinking black? I'm going to be working with this one, a splash that I'm waiting to determine if it's a roo or hen and a lavender pair.

Does anyone know what the genes are of them (i dont know if that is right) like did the cross a black with a white?

I'm new to the Silkie breed & was told my girl is a blue. My husband & I have debated now whether she is or not because we aren't sure. Any thoughts?? Thank you
