So we had wonderful hatches from our incubator last year. Over the winter Greg decided to add the water reservoir up on top of the incubator that comes from the same company. So this year the first hatch was great but the bedding in the brooder area was WAY too wet. Each hatch since then has been worse and worse even though I'm completely changing the bedding every single day. The babies who DO hatch in these wet conditions seem to be weaker and my post hatch death rate is over half. What's going on? Why is the brooder tray and the floor under the tray wet all the time? Is there anything I can do to fix this. I'm thinking about pulling the water reservoir if we can't get this fixed.
