Spring 2017 first timers post!

WOOT!!! Chicks made it to the regional USPS hub this morning, only a hour or so

away the tracking said they are on way to destination.

local Post office told me they get the afternoon truck about 2:00 its 1130 now

Mine are almost to the Fayetteville main hub. I'm driving over now to lurk

and wait until the truck shows up. They don't update their info fast enough for me & I'm sure they'll be sitting there overnight if I at least don't go check

I got to the PO just as the truck pulled up.

And so it begins....

Home in the brooder, they are all chirping and drinking and eating. I tried but could not seem to get the nutridrench drops in them, it's in the water though.

We're in love

I've put them all under the heat plate once, it's not cold in the coop and they don't seem to need the heat right now. No loud peeping, no distressed chicks that I can tell

Spoke too soon, I got them under the heat again and this time they stayed, practically quiet now....

And YES I'll drive all the way across town in the middle of the night to pick them up if I have to
