I then finished the inserts by nailing in the top piece for the forward compartment. I cut a 2x4 to a 3 inch length and placed it at the back of the nesting box to put the rollaway inserts at a slight pitch forward.
@AlaskaGrown - thanks so much for the pics and explanations - great job, and a much "quicker fix" than building a whole set of new rollout nest boxes! Looks efficient and much more cost friendly, as well. I believe I spent around $80 for a 2-holer rollout nest box, including screws & pad & everything. Thanks for posting!
