I have 8 week-old chicks in the brooder in my kitchen, and one of them is constantly pecking at the other chicks’ eyes. She runs around the brooder and chirps a lot, even when the other chicks are settling down for the night. Sometimes she chirps so loudly I have a hard time going to sleep! She will stop chirping when I come over to check on her, though.
I’m guessing that she is stressed somehow, but what can I do to help her? She eats, drinks, and poops normally. The other chicks seem fine health-wise. What could be the problem?
