Surviving Minnesota!

I have to pick up my county trees tomorrow. All except the white pines which come from Akeley which are under snow and frozen into the ground.
What did you get?

I got fruit trees this year - 2 apple, 2 peach, 2 pear, 2 plum, and a jostaberry bush. And 25 white spruce. Mostly from the county, two from a nursery to get the varieties I want.

I'm trying to plant crab apple seeds, also. And walnut nuts.

I understand. I've found thick roots that far away from the tree too. They make the vegetable garden difficult. I would rather a different species here on the subdivision lot.

I'm planting them on the farm, though. There are enough acres there that aren't tillable anyway and enough choices of building sites that I can find a place for them that won't cause problems. I think. Or at least sort of realistically hope.
