In about June she got the respiratory disease, we did Terramycin and it went away. It was only the breathing, no eye stuff. Then about a month and a half ago it came back with a swollen eye. We tried Terramycin powder again + eye ointment for almost two weeks but it didn't work. For a while I tried some oregano and oregano oil, which didn't make any difference. Then I got a prescription Ciprofloxacin antibiotic eye drops and used that for about a week, but not very consistently because it was difficult to go down to the chicken coop twice a day being a student and she is squirmy when we try to put it on. After that, it got even puffier and worse. Then tried leaving it alone for a few weeks in hope it would go away on its own like it did for a few of my other chickens. Did not. We tried a few eye drops here and there, but I have the feeling we did it wrong and it's just making it worse. Now it has even spread a little lower to the part just under the corner of her beak. It looks painful. So we tried three or four things and none worked, what is there left to do? I might go to the feed store and get the injection, but I'm afraid I'll do it wrong, and I'm not sure which thing to get.
