Thank you both. Gus was 15 1/2 yrs old and completely fine till 3:30 this morning when he started having seizures. Our vet says it was either a brain tumor or severe epilepsy. There was nothing to be done. All in all he had a good long life with no long, lingering complaints. Not a bad way to do it. We just miss him. He was exceptionally cuddly... he would put his paws around your neck and suck on your earlobes, if you let him. We were lucky to have had him in our lives.
