Stubs are a fault? Is it only on the bantams? I have a chick out of 6 with stubble on one leg. Ither than that All are developing a lovely hersheys brown color as they feather.

Got It! I just had a chocolate hatched with feathers on leg. Only one ever for me (that I know of. What do you do with them? I listed 3 of the regular chocolates (without stub) online for $25 each, and offered the feathered one free. Is that wise? Do folks cull them? Can they be bred without producing more stubs?

PS Yes, I know that $25 for pure chocolates is cheap but I ordered Partridges and am now scrambling to cover the cost

Get a black cochins and make choc cochins!!

I would LOVE to have a couple of chocolate hens/pullets to add to my flock! I just discoverd them and ohhh they sure are beautiful! Now if I can get that color in bantam cochin! OH and the chocolate splash and mottled too!!!
Soon as I can find some in my price range or at all Im sooo gonna buy a few!
