Here's an updated picture of the first to hatch this season. They are either 5 or 6 weeks old this week? Very friendly and calm, quickly becoming favorites.

Hopefully I'll get to hatch some chicks when they start laying again...Oh, and I trapped 2 'possums...

I have been hatching but it has been a really slow start. I have the two six week olds and 1 black two week old right now.

Have 1 black going in lockdown in a few days and then seven days after that I have 8 (finally) going into lockdown.

Most will be black with the possibility of a blue or two.

I just put another 5 in the bator tonight and will collect all week again this coming week and set another tray next friday. Hoping the girls keep cooperating, it may not be at full speed but they are giving me a little something.

Come on girls!!

Oh, and my "cocoa" eggs are doing very well in the bator and looks like all will go into lockdown.
