This is my slw Noel who I bought as a pullet, she is almost 3 weeks and I notice a redness to her comb and wattles. Is she indeed a pullet or a roo?

That's a lot of comb development and redness for a three week old. Probably a rooster, sorry!

D'Uccles do tend to mature quickly. However, that comb isn't quite pink enough for me to say it's a cockerel for sure. The behavior you are seeing is common of chicks at that age, regardless of gender. It's pecking order related, not hormone related.

I never saw that with my first chicks, that were all pullets and one lone cockeral. I haven't seen it in my chicks raised by a mama hen either. I just didn't know if it was normal. Thank you!

I have been suspect of #1 being a roo for a couple of weeks. They are six weeks old and #1 started getting awfully pink around 4 weeks. #2 started getting a little pink around week 5 and the comb is a little bigger than the others. For right now I'm assuming #3, #4, #5, and #6 are girls.
