Thanks so much for your quick reply! Totally appreciate it....after I candled on day 12 and only 10 were duds I was like oh boy this is gonna be a packed hatch...probably have to grab chicks out a handful at a time to keep the space freed up! Thanks again!

When getting ready for lockdown, I also like to put some of the bumpy rubber shelf liner on the bottom of the tray. It is easier for the chicks to get around on, and can be tossed in the wash after your hatch.

Makes clean-up easier, too.

Setting up this incubator now. Do I use the foam inserts for the bars and in the bottom, or does it work better without?

I like to use the foam insets in the bars whenever I can. All depends on how many eggs you are putting in and what configuration you are using.
