The Fight

Caitlynn noticed that Fudge had stopped purring. He got off her lap and started sniffing in one direction. And then she heard it: A male voice, and... A dog? She guessed. She moved quietly through the trees, stopping when she looked below, seeing a small path, and a boy, probably quite a few years older than her(Wes). She quickly ducked behind the trees trunk, out of sight.

Wes kept walking but thought he was hearing leaves rustling. He used his telepathic power and see who was there. Instead, his head got jumbled with voices of squeaky mice running from annoying coyotes. He shook his head and went back to walking; talking out a sharp rock of his pack so he could be somewhat ready for an ambush. He spoke to Dani. Stay close, Dani. Wes didn't often talk to her like this so she wasnt used to it, yet.

Wes and Dani kept walking towards the large tree he saw earlier. Dani started growling and the hair on her back raised. "Hush, Dani." Wes scolded. He climbed a tree to see where they were. When he got to the top he saw that they were only a few hundred yards away. Wes shimmied back down the tree and started slowly jogging. Dani followed hesitantly after him. She still cocked her head at the quiet leaves moving.

Caitlynn watched the dog closely, in case it was going to turn around and try somthing. She already knew that it knew she was there. She was crossing a large branch, going from one tree to the next when Radar, her barn owl, decided to appear out of nowhere, scaring the crap out of her. She lost her footing and fell, landing hard on the ground with an Oomph! that would definitely draw the guy's attention. She stood and ran into the forest, taking shelter of the trees, knowing full well that she had probably been spotted.

Wes turned around to the noise; his arm raised with a rock in hand to be thrown in a split second. He saw a blur run into the forest and tried again to speak telepathically. Who is that? Show yourself or I will track you down. Come out nice and slow. He looked harder in the trees and listened for breathing.

Caitlynn's breath caught. He had seen her. Calm down, she thought to herself, making herself slow down her breathing. She closed her eyes and concentrated. Wjen she opened them again, a replica of herself was standing before her. The figure walked toward the path, while she mofed to a place where she could see what was going on. The replica walked slowly into the small area, her hands held up to show she had no weapons. Caitlynn watced the guy from the shdows, where he couldn't see her.

Wes lowered his arm. "Why are you following me? I won't hurt you unless you hurt me first, which is doubtful."

"Why is that doubtful?" Caitlynn said, stepinf out of the shadows so Wes could see her. She knew he would have ro seethe actual her; her area os expertise was visions, not sounds. In her hand was a sharp, jagged rock, ready to be used as a weapon. At least, that's what he saw. The other her had disappeared as soon as she had stepped out.
