Avenir aims for one of the bucks and shoots. She had to use two arrows before she approached the large buck and dragged it away from the abandoned field, to skin it and preserve the meat for other meals. She kept hearing many screams and such from afar, but was used to it and just ignored it all.

Elle continued on through the forest. She couldn't help but feel she was being watched. The ground was a mesh of tree roots and vines, and her feet often got stuck in the gaps. Exhausted she dropped down by a nearby river and cupped her hands to scoop up some water. She threw it on her face, washed her hands and took a long drink. She then lay down on a nearby rock and fell into a deep sleep. She knew she was in a vulnerable position, but after everything she had been through she found it hard to care. (I'm going to sleep now too )
