What size eggs are you getting out of the heritage reds and what color of the shell. I am just curious. Would someone mind posting some pics of the eggs?

These are from Rose Comb Reds.
Now I do not breed for egg color but most of my hens will lay a Large Med. Brown egg.

1. Does anyone know if it is only RIR who have 'alligator tracks' on the front of their legs? I am referring to those dark colored area on 'ankle' front and up the shank a bit...............

might NHs also?

2. Does anyone know the feather genome for the RIR? Chris is it just 'Red' and '(Restricted) Columbian' ?
