Which unfortunately also happens to be a very large rabbit show just south of there in Perry. Boo hiss. Hate conflicts

Thank you for your response, Fred - I apologize for not thanking you sooner, but I haven't been online much lately.

Aside from the occasional 4-H show, I haven't seen many poultry shows in my area. Cattle seem to be the main focus here.

Well down to one breeder Cock. Just met with Fred and traded off two F1 cockerels from last years breeding. This way my partner gets a chance to evaluate them for a bit and use them first if I did good.

I'm sure I will have more little cockerels this year come along at hatching time I can choose from or can borrow back that one I think will be good next year after I get my hen count higher. They were beginning to get the back of their crowns bit by Bigbie anyway.

Ok, so I know none of my 3 RIR hens are even near SOP but they are wonderful pets and great layers. They have only been laying for a month now and one of my girls just started but her egg is bigger than the other twos and has speckles. Do some reds lay speckled? Here are some pics:

Thanks, I was just wondering if I got sold a mutt when I thought I bought all RIR hens. They all have the sweetest personalities and are laying machines.
