(I missed something...who is this Tom guy?)A thought suddenly occurred to Katrina. 'The prince seems strangely concerned with that maid,' she thought. Sure, Alena was nice. Pretty, maybe. But she was a maid. And even though she had been found unconscious in the prince's room, which was extremely strange in itself, the prince seemed overly concerned with her current well being. Katrina thanked the cook and proceeded back to the prince's quarters, a tray with tea in hand. Then there was the boy. Tom hadn't seen him, and Tom always knew where everyone was. A second surprising thought now occurred. Had Alfric done it? Emilee whined and complained a full five minutes straight now. Poor Daisy bore it as any good beast of burden would: quietly and patiently. A scent wafted through the air. A scent much more interesting than this girl's complaints. A fellow equine? Daisy whinnied again after a second strong scent of it. Kicking up her little heels, she took off, straight through the brush in the direction of this intriguing smell. "Daisy! Come back here!" Emilee demanded. She picked up the basket of lunch that had fallen from Daisy's baskets and hurried after the ignorant pony. Anna hummed to herself as she poured a saucer of milk for her cats. Until Emilee had returned, these cats and Daisy were her closest company, except when Katrina came of course. Sadly, Katrina had been very busy of late at the castle and hadn't been allowed any visiting time in a long while.
