I got my FIRST Silver Penciled Egg today!

EGGCITED about that.... not going to hatch any but still EGGCITED! I made them the tiniest nest box from a small priority shipping box.... let see if it works

My F1 pullets are laying. I'm getting 12 to 18 a day from the blue and Birchen projects.
For some reason, I'm getting 20 a day from the older 35 girls in the flock as well...Columbian, Blue, BCW, Cochin and Australorp..and a few Sex-link.
I thought egg laying would slack off a little in winter. I do have a red heat lamp over the water stations to keep the water from freezing.
