I picked up my darlings after work today and I was as anxious/excited on the car ride home as I was when I first brought my kiddos home from the hospital! lol
I think they've got a pretty good setup:
The Buff Orpingtion is named Stampy Longbeak (chosen by 8 y/o DS). She's a loose cannon and was trying to jump out of the box at the feed store, then got home and tried to escape the brooder. She ran straight at me and tried to jump over my arm! She also fought me on the vitamins, and hence is covered in Nutri-Drench.
The Silver-Laced Wyandotte is Lucy. She is surprisingly affectionate.
The Barred Rock in the front is Batman (chosen by 4 y/o DS). She's kind of...well...a chicken. Poor thing was really cold when she came out of the box though. She's happy now under the heater.
The Ameraucana is behind Batman. Her name is Brownie (short for Miss Brown Chicken chosen by 4 y/o DD).
Showed them the food and water, then shoved them under the heater and they quieted down almost immediately, though Stampy did come out and try to charge me!
So excited and loving the new babies!
