I should be expecting babies any day now! I now how you feel. I'm becoming so impatient, I just want the little guys to bust on out of their shells so I can finally see the them :3

The waiting is the worst!

I got a third goose egg last night. Which made me realize that the second one I got really was huge, lol. The big egg is 269 grams, the smaller one 165. The serama egg is 18.

I need to go out and work readying my run for the piggies ... I now know where the term "PIGPEN" & PIGGYBACK RIDE" comes from

They say there is nothing cuter than a baby pig! Which is very true ..... BUT man do they grow fast .... & now they look like this

What happened to this ??

It now is 220' x 16.
My turkeys, geese, ducks & Ohikis love it! Got my 1st Turkey egg today

Moved my pigs to their new run also 16' x 100' with 2 piggy homes for them to curl up in

Now I feeling the pain

Oh to be 18 again ..... When nothing hurt & I knew everything

Oh boy, you can say that again! I'm thinking or adding another run this year, which will require some stump removal. Dreading that little project.

Sebbies can lay two days in row, especially when weather is yo yoing

They have their own fertility issues to contend with and quads can lead to low fertility over all compaired to trios

Here's hoping someone laid back to back

If you pull wing band numbers and PM them I can pull last years hatch log and look them up from your birds

Thanks ! They are Pot belly pigs, I am raising them for freezer pigs. So we can slow smoke them on out new spit this summer. But they are spoiled loved and healthy, Mixed Milk every morning & evening, grains, veggies, breads, wheats & beer! ~ Quality of life before the freezer....
OH and I forgot to mention 3 of my pigs are girls, and we will be having baby piggies end of May/beginning June
Umm anyone have experience raising piglets???

RG, Yes, raised pigs as a kid. After babies born you, or vet or DH have to take out those teeth that will grow into sharp dangerous weapons. Sows are usually put in large furrowing crates, which allow youngsters to get out of her way when she lays down. Issues of this may be different with the pot belly pigs though. (not the teeth though, ya gotta deal with those w/i a week or two of birth).

Thank you!! My big buff boy has claimed both grey fatties. I am SO hopeful he can mate either one successfully since he is only a yearling.
