So the Rookie went to bed at 11:45ish cause there was nothing going on except 8" of snow here Jersey. I was awaken a hour and half later to little chirps (octo 20 is at bed side). As of right now I have 13 little fuzzy things running around.

Hopefully most of them turn out to be girls

I don't need anymore kindergarten boys to torment the few girls I have

The plan is to hopefully set another 20 or so by the end of the week.

Plus i have to go out on top, so I decided to try my diy incubator one last time. I put 6 in there. I know its small numbers but given that the Rookie started with 15 (only 4 hens) in October, I think I'm holding my own

No doubt about that, but it looks like I'm a wee bit ahead coming into the new year. I had about 20 hatch Jan.2 and then I had 3 hatch a few days later. So I am ahead by a bit, but lets not forget about the 30 I set today. Oh, and did I mention the 6 chicken eggs to accompany them??
