Today's temperature = # of eggs.

Massachusetts
-3 ....0/5 so far.
was 1/5 yesterday and 3/5 the day before, I have all Orpingtons and the cold doesnt seem to bother them at all. I used the heat lamp once when it was -9 .

It is warming up some although I am still getting 3-4 egg from 20 plus chicks.

Today is 25 degrees fahrenheit high in southeast Michigan, and our girls are consistently laying strong. 4 eggs today and 6 eggs yesterday at 27 degrees fahrenheit high, from our 6 ISA Browns who are experiencing their first winter! No light, no heater, just plenty of dry straw!
