Hi everyone. Is anyone good at identification of tracks? Just want to know what I’m up agains for our next flock. Something killed all of our girls today :( left the bodies. One head missing and one neck eaten out but the others intact. All left behind. Thank you in advance <\3

😱 Oh no. I’m so sorry😢. I can not identify those tracks because I do not know anything about American animals or animals that live in the snow so I’m no help but it may be a raccoon.
:welcome

There are a lot of different animal tracks in the pictures you took, and depending on where you live they could be different animals, for instance I see what looks like bobcat tracks, maybe opossum it's hard to tell because I don't know the exact size, but racoons will normally eat the head of a chicken and leave the rest so I'm guessing that it was that ate them.

Only good track I can see. This looks like a fox.

Not raccoon, their tracks look like human-like hands. I'd bet mink or weasel based off of size and the way the pictured bird is killed. Fox tracks are a lot bigger and look like dog tracks, and they're way messier killers. It's hard to really make out any clear tracks though. I see chicken or at least bird tracks pictured in most of the photos. Can you find any clearer tracks anywhere?

Depends on the fox. They can be quite light footed. Gray fox has the smallest tracks of north American foxes.

The tracks that are the most clear honestly look like bird tracks, but maybe not big enough to be a hawk, so maybe other bird picking at them before I got home from work. There are so many tracks. My red bird looks like a ghost did it honestly there are so few tracks. This was between 9am-1pm
