Needless to say my pheasant abandoned her nest. There are three snakes in this picture. The war is raging. Got another one last night in a pen. I was giving a tour of a bucnh of 10 year old girls and caught one by the tail and broke his head over the shelter in the pen. Some were aghast, some were impressed. LOL

Where the snakes breeding or trying to get the eggs?

The bottom one had three junglefowl chicks in its guts. The others were probably there for mating purposes. It sure would have been nice if they hadn't driven off the pheasant hen. I lost a whole pile of chicks before I figured out the culprits.

Wow, there are some incredible snake pictures in this thread! I think snakes are awesome (as long as they aren't killing my birds or wanting to bite me).

It seems as though from your first pic that your fencing is pretty small...how did that snake manage to get in there??
