Two eggs and nothing?

One of my hens has laid her first two eggs, then the third egg was eaten and then for two days nothing. Is this normal?

When you say "the third egg was eaten" what do you mean? Eaten by whom? You, I hope, and not one of your chickens. It's awful to have an egg eating chicken!

But to answer your original question, yes, it's normal for hens not to lay every single day. In your case, though, I really hope it isn't something getting to the egg before you do.
