Tylan-50 out of date - can I still use it?

I have a big bottle of tylan-50 injectable that has an expiration of Feb. 2010. Six months out of date. Is it still any good? TSC here only has the big bottles $40, and I hate to buy another big bottle that I'd never be able to use up. But I will if I need to. I'll be giving it orally, if that makes a difference.
