NE WI
HI I don't know quite how to search for my question so I will just post this... We have plastic poly around our covered run to keep snow and wind out during winter. It has worked quite well all winter here in NE WI, my question is, How long do would you keep it on in spring? I think the lowest low in this up in coming week is going to be like 35 (but it is WI). We don't shut their coop door so they can just go in and out of their run and coop as they wish. We have taken the very bottom plastic off under the egg laying boxes but that is only about 2-1/2 feet. Also we kept a light on a timer in their coop this winter to keep them warm and so they kept laying. It stays pretty light until like 8 ish at night now so is it time for that to go too? We survived our first winter so that is a major accomplishment in itself! I am so proud of my girls!!

I'd definitely turn the light off and remove at least part of the plastic. They need to get acclimated.
