Hi there,
Since joining things have changed here and there!
My rooster adventure lasted a month. He just wasn't a good fit and found a good home that he currently loves with 40 girls!
My six girls have all started laying and I am getting eggs daily and I absolutely love hanging out with them. They follow me all over and love getting good treats. To my surprise my RIR are the most friendly and def the loudest lol I love my australorp girls, they are beautiful in the sun, but my barred rocks kinda keep to themselves. I haven't been able to really bond with them like the others, but that's okay. They can just vibe if they want to!
Two weeks ago I picked up 2 speckled sussex chicks and 2 buff orpingtons and I can't wait to see them get bigger and develop their own personalities. I have very excited for both breeds!
So yeah, I have discovered roosters are a no for me and now I am up to 10 chickens and told myself I am at full capacity... we will see how that goes! And so the adventure continues!!
