Yup, you might need to fence the area off and prevent the deer access. THe peaches also need a couple trees for pollinating. Yum!!! Soap can keepthe deer away-- can't remember wish one though. A common brand though. Like zest.
Nope. Wife has a juicer. We just ran the apples through that. Then just strained through one of my tshirts as it had a LOT of pulp still.
My grandfather had a press though. Still remember drinking apple cider straight from the press.

Granny Smith, Red Delicious and Golden Delicious are self pollinating. I put in a Golden Delicious because it is a good pollinator of other varieties. I also have an Arkansas Black Spur Apple tree. I would like to add a Granny Smith and a Honeycrisp.
