these are my "partridge rocks" chick number 1 is 6 weeks and looks to me like a rooster! it has more black then the partridge design.

Chick number two is a "Partridge rock" it is kindof light so im not sure if it is one and it is 4 weeks old here

I would guess you have a pair. The partridge variety can be color sexed fairly easily as the chicks feather in. Plus, your boy has a very pronounced comb and some big tree trunks he's standing on.

#1 is a cockerels and #2 is a pullet. As akcountrygrrl said, you can sex Partridge Rocks by their coloration, pullets are completely partridge while cockerels have a lot of blackish hackle and saddle feathers.

also, I have 25 Partridge rocks and the hens neck feathers vary in color from bright gold to pure black, so don't be surprised to see some variation in the actually lacing color itself.

ggrrrrr. . . . i already have two roosters of my own now i have an extra one and my cochin might be a rooster too x(
