The three first babies I bred went to their new mum yesterday. We are still confused what colour one of them actually is so we thought we would ask you guys ^-^. My friend will be joining the forum soon hopefully. Turns out she already had an account from years ago lol. @HiddlesKenway

Pine has been renamed Mocha, but in prior posts of mine is referred to as Pine.

So yeah any ideas? We thought maybe birchen?

Neither parent is blue or splash though? If Crowley was splash, all the babies would be blue, and only my blue hen's chicks could be splash. In the first clutch her's is the black chick, and she was broody already for the second so no eggs from her.
Here is a pic of the above chick when it was younger.

Blue broody hen is not this chick's mother.

Seeing as half his offspring are his colour and the other half are black, brown or gold coloured thats impossible. And none of the ones his colour are from my only blue hen. No other hens are blue or splash.

If he were splash, only the blue hen could give him splash babies, and the rest would be blue. There would be no black chicks let alone chicks neither his colour or black.

I was talking on a discord with someone who breeds paints and lives in the same country as me. She recognised the bloodline he is from, and said that line is mostly silver melanized partridge under the paint.

Huh, okay, I see now that he’s paint. And I’m as confused as you are.
