OEGB's,
I have 10 eggs in the incubator and 10 under a broody hen.

My chickies are almost 7 weeks old. Apparently, I like them like I like my shoes - many different types and pretty. That was basically my criteria when I ordered them. Anyway, I have:

1 Black Copper Marans
1 Blue Copper Marans
1 Blue Ameraucana
1 Lavender Orpington
1 Exchequer Leghorn
1 Cream Legbar
1 Swedish Flower Hen

I should have a nice selection of egg colors when they start laying.

I Have a few breeds actually...
Silkies
Cochin
Phoenix
Silver Lace
Leghorns
RIR
Speckled Sussex
Speckled Bantam
and maybe a few more I'm thinking..
Oh and 2 turkeys..lol

I have all pullets in the backyard:
2 Rhode Island Reds
1 Old English Game Hen
2 Dutch Bantams
2 Rhode Island Whites
1 Easter egger
1 Black Star
And 4 chicks, hopefully all pullets
1 silkie
1 Swedish flower hen
1 light brahma
1 golden laced Wyandotte

We have 3 Buff Orps, 1 barred rock, 2 jersey giants, 1 silver lace wynadotte, 1 cream legbar, 1 speckled sussex and 1 easter egger.

let me see... I have:
4 bantam silkies
3 bantam cochins
8 easter eggers
1 bantam barnevelder
1 bantam buff orp
1 black jersy giant
2 bourbon red turkeys
1 mystery color turkey

I started with Rhode Island Reds and have added, Barred rocks, Bantam Cochins, Golden Comets, Buff Orpington, and now my last 6 are Ameracaunas. I did have some ducks, coyotes got them.

I've worked through most of the laying breeds throughout the years, looking for my best overall flock....and then landed on the idea that I really want to focus on pretty egg colors for my egg basket.

With that said, I currently have a breeding flock of:
1 Barnevelder rooster (super sweet, seems to be passing along nice terra cotta genes)
1 Isbar-Marans hen, Olive Egger (breeding and brooding hen)
1 Cream Legbar hen, who doesn't seem to lay well, unthrifty, to be culled shortly
1 California Grey hen, very sweet, prolific layer, makes homebrewed BSL for me

First generation daughters:
BarnevelderxSplash Marans...2 grey daughters who lay terra cotta
BarnevelderxRhodebar....1 red daughter who lays tinted cream
BarnevelderxRSL....1 red daughter who lays a nice muted terra cotta
BarnevelderxCalGrey....1 daughter who lays a cream (my home brewed BSL)

Second generation in grow out, I've got
3/4 Barnevelderx1/4 Splash Marans (grey daughters bred back to Barney)...1 daughter
BarnevelderxIsbar-Marans (black daughters for F2 olive egger)...3 daughters
3/4 Barnevelderx1/4 RSL (red daughter bred back to Barney)....1 daughter, Barnevelder appearance

Then in the brooding hutch, I've got 1 excellent Bantam Cochin momma with 2 Cream Legbar chicks...1 boy and 1 girl who will become a breeding pair

...and a Silkie pullet who is trying to decide if she wants to go broody or not...if so I'll be setting some Ameraucana eggs with her

Just what's brewing at the moment.

I have 3 buff Orpingtons
3 Lavender Orpingtons
3 RIRs
2 Black Copper Marans
1 Black Australorp
2 Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas (roosters)

All but the Ameraucanas are hatchery stock though so I'm like 90% sure my "RIRs" are mixed with New Hampshire Reds and my Lavenders have some pretty wacky feathers. Even my BOs have little feathers between their toes! They're just at 4 months so here's hoping they start laying soon!
