What exactly is a Calico Silkie?

Hello, I would love to take him off your hands, and any other calico no one wants! I love them , I think they are some of the most beautiful ones! God I just love silkies.

All these calico silkies are beautiful! I'm just confused about breeding 'autosomal red' into birds. Are they produced from crossing splash and partridge silkies, or from crossing silkies and some other breed?

This is my Lester The Roo. Just recently was mentioned to by someone via a FB group for our local chicken store that he may be a calico. Never could find or figure out what he was! Even his breeder was in awe of him. Love my boy
