We're near Berkeley, in the East Bay. We have four backyard layers--an EE, a Buff Orp, an Australorp, and a Barred Rock. We got them as chicks in May and they are all laying now!

Happy California Girl here, only stuck in Alaska since I was four and I'm 53 now

Lived in Torrance and Inglewood, my Grandparents had a house in Inglewood after they left the farm in Nebraska...happy memories! I crossed the Goldengate Bridge at 6 days old...have the pics, too!

Born in Riverside when it had a population of 50,000.
Married a boy from Ft. Bragg (Mendocino county)
Raised our kids near Placerville.

Now we live in northern UT as economic refugees.
Miss fresh oranges and the warmth of a Santa Ana wind blowing across your face.

As for the person who now lives in northern NV - can't understand how that would make anyone happy. When we left CA we considered No. NV but I cried every morning I woke up and looked out at the nothing around me.

Anyway - I'm a happy Californian no matter where I live.
